This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel that other robots couldn't do. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. These bots also have a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
robot cleaner is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. Related Site is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it is done with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people however it will help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the top available however it's expensive.
It's a small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.
However, if you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive, but offers many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just attach one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials such as cereal.
